A beautifully detailed Elgin pocket watch believed to date to the early 1900s Edwardian era, approximately 1900–1910. This elegant antique timepiece features a richly engraved gold filled full hunter case adorned with elaborate floral scrollwork and a charming scenic landscape motif, design elements that were especially popular during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods.
The watch showcases a classic white porcelain dial with ornate Louis XV style gold-tone hands, black Arabic numerals, and a subsidiary seconds dial, all highly characteristic of turn-of-the-century American pocket watches. Its smaller approximately 35mm size suggests it may have originally been intended as a ladies’ or smaller gentleman’s pocket watch or fob watch.
Beautiful both as a collectible and as a wearable statement piece on a chain.
